As Seen On
Detroit-Made. World-Ready.
Daralynn Walker is a Children's Fiction writer, best known for her acclaimed Madison Miles and Friends series. Growing up in Detroit and with a librarian for a mother, Daralynn found her love for books at a young age. In school, she loved writing stories and always excelled in spelling bees and writing contests.
Reading was also a main interest; she loved getting lost inside of a good book. While still in middle school, Daralynn entered and won a contest to have the novel she wrote in eighth grade adapted into a play produced for high school students. That was the first time she understood how beautiful it was to put pen to paper and see her words come to life, she was hooked!
Daralynn graduated with her Bachelors Degree from Eastern Michigan University in Communications and Theatre Arts and went on to gain her MBA from Davenport University. Over the span of ten years, Daralynn has authored 7 books for young adults and children, and intends to continue expanding her Madison Miles and Friends series. Her most recent non-fiction children's book, Super Cities Detroit (Arcadia Publishing), explores the history of Detroit and all of the fun places to visit and things to do.
Daralynn resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, three lovely children, and their dog, Bailey.
